I might enjoy some AC tomorrow, after living without it in the Volvo all week it just sounds really nice. Thank goodness the Volvo is getting fixed next week! But I will also enjoy some windows down time, especially if we cross that covered bridge love to hear my intake in enclosed spaces!

&^%$#@! Won't be taking Fiona after all... Went for a little drive just to check that she was running well, and got $100 in PARKING TICKETS downtown, followed by the man accessory belt squealing all over the place again. Argh!!! Talk about a bad afternoon.... :( Guess we'll be there in Dawn (Amy's happier that way anyay - guess she was porried Fiona would break down but didn't tell me...)

Great run--thanks everyone! Lotsa nice scenery and a fantastic variety of roads, all with their grins and giggles. Love your pics Jan--makes me think I may have missed a turn or two, but all's well that ends well.
Special thanks to my navigators, Matt, Amy, Greyson (sp?), and last but not least, Fran.... Good to meet many of you! We'll have to do this again sometime...

Yesterday was great! I am so glad that M.A.D. convinced me to go. If I can get my laptop working I'll post the short video I shot. I think this will definitely be a new annual tradition for me.

Yes, thank you very much Chuck! Not only was the route extremely enjoyable, but your choice for lunch was great. My sandwhich was well worth being the last one served, I regret not taking a picture of it.

Thanks for all of your attendance & the appreciation you have for our hard work. Eric would be happy to see all those cars driving the back roads. He'd especially smile at all of the vintage car drivers. Good show!
I have to say that Riverrun was not done only by me. My & Eric's good friend Bill Atturbury is responsible for that great route too & the route book was all his doing. We worked as a team for the last two Riverruns & will continue to do so in the future.
Bill drives a white with red wheels 62 Austin Healey 3000. If you see him around tell him thanks.
It looks like we had 87 cars, but the final count is not in. I'll let you know & tell you how much was donated to the James when that info is finalized.
A special thanks from me goes out to Carol & Holly. They came over & looked after Barbara while I was away driving the back roads. Great friends!
I hope to have pictures up by this evening, but since I am now on nurse duty it may take a while longer.

Pictures...
As promised pictures from the 2010 Riverrun.
I hope you enjoy them. My ride along navigator/photographer/best friend didn't come this year, so there are not many scenery pictures.

Hey Chuck, I love that Eric's RiverRun sticker on the back of your mini. I guess I am referring to the red one but I like the blue one too. I would love to get one, and gladly pay for it. My family knew Eric for a long time and he is greatly missed. Thanks again for helping us out on this great drive.

Final report....
Here is the final report on Eric's Riverrun 2010 from his wife Susan Logan...
Hello All,
May 29th turned out to be a beautiful day for Riverrun. One hundred seven cars and drivers/passengers registered for the drive from Grove City OH to Augusta KY and back again. Two registrants expect to drive the route at a later date, which makes a total of 109.
The registration fees and some extra donations totaled $1150 and will be donated to The James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University. (We also collected $24 for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.) I thank you.
Thanks go to Chuck Ashton and Bill Atterbury who laid out a wonderful tour and provided us with excellent route instructions. I also want to thank the car clubs who sponsored our event: Buckeye Miata Club for the printing and promotion; North American MGB Register for the insurance and the Central Ohio British Car Club Council for support and promotion.
Although the drive was advertised as 320 miles, adding the distance from home, I drove 387 miles in my 1973 MGB. I left the Bob Evans at 9:05 a.m. and returned to the Bob Evans at 9:00 p.m. -- a long day, and we were too late to have ice cream at Wittich's Candy Store in Circleville. (The sign in the window said that they closed at 5:00.)
Luckily we stopped at Blake's Pharmacy in West Union; six of us had small ice cream cones for a total of $2.40, which turned into $3.00 with the tip, what a bargain. The small ice cream cones were essentially the same size as what I often buy in Columbus for about $2.69. Thanks to Bill and Chuck for the tip about Blake's; I had been in West Union on many tours, but this was the first time that I had visited Blake's.
I am always asked about the cars that participated.
