Eric's Riverrun 2010

This sounds great! I just ignored all the things I have to do at home and decided to sign up for what looks like a fantastic route--custom made for Minis (& MINIs)! Looking forward to it!

Yep that oil fog out of the back always keeps them at bay. Sorta 007 James Bondish.
Matt there are always some classic Minis & other LBCs.
Lets remember this is a tour not a race. Have fun be safe.

Eric used to drive those roads in a Mini with an 850 in it. Compared to that you have a big block Matt.
Eric exploring rally roads. No we don't use any like this.

Matt, I am just joking around. I will be out there just like everyone else haveing a great time. I Plan on being there at 8 ish, if you want to meet up. Not sure when I will take off but I should be at the Bob Evens until 8:30. I am waiting to hear from some friends on what time they will be at Bobs.

You musta read my feeble mind! That's where I ended up making a reservation this morning. I can't wait! It looks like a great weather weekend and an awesome route! Plus, it's for a noble cause...

Barbara will not be joining us for Eric's Riverrun this year. As some of you know she broke her left foot last week. Today it is all screwed back together, but no way can she endure a long car drive. She says she'll see you all at the next breakfast.

Excellent! I just mapped out my route to get to the event. Since I have an aversion to the interstates, it looks like that will be an adventure in itself.
Hey, I posted an inquiry about where to eat over on Roadfood dot com. Can anybody vouch for any of these suggestions:

Anyone going to be around tomorrow night for a little refreshment before Saturday?

I'd love to have dinner with you, but I have to be home with Barbara waiting on her hand & broken foot. See you Saturday Morning at the B&E.
My suggestion for a good meal is the Starliner Diner in Hilliard.

Tell me about your route down. I love the back roads myself.

Thanks Chuck--I understand that you'll be in high demand for waiting tables at home. I look forward to meeting you on Saturday (didn't I threaten to do this run last year too?).
As for my route, I think I'm on I-90, then 271 for a short ways. Then, it looks like I'm taking 21 south to 643. Near Coshocton, I'll pick up 16 until it runs into 60. At Zanesville, I'll take 22 west, then get on 23 north and come into Grove City from the south instead of coming coming down thru Columbus. It's definitely a wacky, zany route, but I hope to see a lot of nice country and avoid some of the holiday weekend craziness on the interstates.

Here is a suggestion...
Once on SR21 take SR585 west to Wooster.
In Wooster take SR3 south. That will take you into Columbus. Follow 270 west to SR 315 south. That will take you to 71 & Grove city.
That route takes you across the state on a diagonal through some pretty country. Once in Columbus it's just the usual traffic.
Drive safe!
