When are you leaving and how long will you be staying? My mom in law lives in Centerville and this gives me a reason to stop by and get some brownie points too.

 

Brownie points and a car show!! Can't beat it!!

We will leave around 8am and get there right around 9am. We plan to stay at the car show all day. It is a really nice park with lots of shade and there is a lot of great cars to look at!!!

BTW-Doug your stripes look great!!!!

 

I'm thinking of attending... It IS a nice park if memory serves.

 

Have fun we are headed to WV for the weekend, so twisty roads and family picnic!

I plastidipped the headlight and taillight rings, side scuttles, and the gas cap this weekend. They look great!!!

I will do the door handles next weekend after the show.

May show up with a friend and his old E-type.
If your going to plastic dip the door handles i recommend doing them off the car. They are less likely to peel that way.

 

We'll be there for sure! That being said... not for sure if we're going to "enter" the show or just wander around for a bit. Either way, both MINIs will be making some form of appearance on Sat.

We should get a caravan together. God knows I wouldn't mind having other MINIs around, just in case Fiona chooses that morning to throw a rod or something... Hey, it could happen.

I was thinking - we should all meet someplace on the west side, like, say, the Perkins just off the exit to Rome Hilliard road off I70. We could congregate early for breakfast, then all head over as a group. Registration opens at 9:00AM, so we could assemble at, say, 7:00AM for coffee and breakfast, and then plan to be on the road by 8:00.

That sound good to people? I'll be in Fiona with Grayson, so I'd really like to have someone with me, just in case...

 

I think that a group caravan over there is a great idea.

What time are we thinking of coming back as a group?

Breakfast sounds great to me and my two boys ages 10 and 12.

I generally stay until the prizes are awarded and then leave out afterwards - it gets you home before dark if I recall correctly. Be sure to bring comfy chairs, a cooler and a nice picnic lunch, as the park has LOTS of shady spots.

Anyone that wants breakfast - looks like we'll gather at Perkins on Rome-Hilliard Road, just west of I270 at 7:00AM, and then we can be on the road by 8:00. That should get us to the park by 9-ish, 9:30 at the latest, plenty of time to get registered and set up. The last time I was there they put the classic and new Minis next to each other but in separate rows.

According to their web site they're open 24/7, so show up any time. And they have pie... REALLY good pie. As you get off the first Rome-Hilliard exit get immediately in the left lane - you'll see it on the left.

 

We won't be at breakfast but we will see you at the show. We live north west of Dayton so it would be kinda silly to drive to the west side of Columbus and then back to the show in Dayton It's nice to see everyone coming to our "turf"

I will meet you guys at Perkins with my mini. I finially got a Saturday off, and going to do something fun. Not sure how clean the car will be. I am driving home from Michigan tonight. See you tomorrow
