Thanks Jeff! Nature shots are nice b/c they move slower than a bunch of motoring MINIs! Especially when you forget to adjust your camera settings for nearly half of the MINIs' photo session

Yesterday was a great day, it was great fun meeting new club members, 'northern'-members and great weather to boot!

Quote: That would be soooo good, but I fear Cooper is going to become proficient in MINI rebuild 101. I think he has a JCW killer in the works. I did hear the phrase twin charge used more than once.

"We can rebuild him — we have the technology."

Chuck and Barb -- what a great route! We had to depart while everyone was at lunch. We had no problem finding the chocolate factory before we headed for home. I have a classic Mini that I am going to drive down to Tennessee next weekend and it was demanding my attention in the late afternoon when we got back. It now has fresh oil in the engine and the oil cooler, plus a new filter. I also put in some new plugs, checked tire pressures and took it out for a short test drive, only to discover that the year-old gas in the tank needs some fresh new petrol and then I think it will be back up to its old (42 years old, to be exact) self. We really did enjoy the drive and meeting so many folks.

Cooper -- what a shame to have the engine be making expensive noises. Hopefully you will get it all sorted out. Don't overlook the possibility of finding a decent engine from a wrecked car.

Quote: Hey Ben it was pretty funny when you left for home & almost all of the MINI's tailed you out of there lickety split.

Robb thanks for the pictures. Nice nature shots too. Did you happen to get any of the rare Silverbacked road apple crusher?

I hope to have pictures posted tonight or tomorrow. I've been very busy watching the GP on the tele & eating Trail Baloney.

Nice pictures as always Robb. Chuck, I'm sure you have a few interesting ones coming...

Chuck filmed a short video on my camera. Try to diagnose the noise:

Wow. That degraded quickly from the time I last heard it. Hopefully the damage won't be too extensive.

Thanks Chuck for the fun day!

Good luck Cooper.
So is this what happens when you use the emergency brake too much?

Nice Pics Chuck & Barbara! Well, except for that one at lunch where I'm making the really weird face!

*note to self... look interested when someone's camera is staring at you*

(Grats Cooper on the 6th gear!)

Thanks, I edited out about 50. Even then it is a lot of photos. If you guys think galleries should be smaller let me know. You can be honest here. I needs to know. Otherwise I'll burry you up to your ears in pictures.

Robb PM me which picture you don't like & I'll take it down. That goes for anyone else. If there are any Robb pictures you don't like tell me.

Thanks Cooper, a lot of those photos are Barbara's & were taken with a point & shoot. A DSLR isn't always needed.

Congrats on finally hitting top gear. Now I understand why you thought you had transmission problems. You were stuck in 5th.

Nope, lots of pics are good! I just watched them on fast and paused if I wanted a longer look. I'm with you though... most of the time I edit out about 1/3 of the photos I take!

Any news on the fate of your R53 Cooper??
