I like the way the site is going. I cautioned going to r/w/b because I wouldn't think we want a big USA look but the muted blue looks nice. I know the union jack is r/w/b (england flag is not) also but most people don't think UJ when they see those color combos. I'll do a detailed look at it sometime soon to pick up lil design problems (text things and stuff) if you like. I didn't put in the time to make the site so I always feel kinda lame pointing out stuff that maybe really is just personal taste.

Well, it works out - the MoM site is expiring in march anyway, and Aaron was wondering what he'd be doing with it - good timing. I know Aaron and Terry are talking, which is the best thing.

EVERYONE ELSE - I'll be passing the hat at the next Mini Mornin' for a 50/50 raffle. I wonder of we can get Cooper to organize it and do the drawing? I know from the Secret Santa we did that with his enthusiasm not only will we raise 3X the cash, but the drawing will be very organized.

 

Check the "Moving" thread there's actually a discussion around keeping the site where it is and me maybe ftping the new site up to the current location... if Aaron agrees.

I've had to work a lot this weekend.... fortunately I can do that from here at home.... there were/are long time frames when I'm waiting on others... so I got on my play laptop [as opposed to my work laptop] and messed around with the site during those times... consequently you'll see I've been playing with Flash and the Dash image a little today... The front page doesn't have to stay the way it is... I was just having some fun... it's been awhile since I've worked with Flash... I must admit that MINUSA.com has had an effect on me, over and above the cars... I can't re-call ever seeing a better Flash Site... or car for that matter!!

 

either way is fine with me...if you have features that you need to activate which requires more control/flexibility than the account currently offers, I can shift ownership to terry so he can make the photo library and calendar do what it needs to do. It is currently hosted on Godaddy and i think I can shift ownership or let it expire and have terry pick it up....

I don't consider the domain "MidOhioMotoring.com" something I own, rather I guess i was/am its steward until someone else had enough passion to take it further and think terry has it....so, tada, it's yours!!!!

You know it's been awhile for me & Flash... I have the newest Adobe version... but actually had to go refresh myself on the Macromedia MX version before making heads or tails of my stuff... I think it has something to do with 2.0 vs 3.0... I kept losing my work? I'd go back to make a change and all my stuff would be wrapped up in to one thing... I'll be darned if I could figure out how to navigate back to individual events...

I ordered and received all the books for the entire new Adobe Web Suite... it's a stack about a foot high... no kidding... I intend on getting into the Flash book soon... its matured considerably since the 1.0 days when I first bought it... I'd love to take a formal class sometime... but I would have to buy it myself since work is all SAP these days.... Anyway, it will be fun working on our new club site... I look forward to meeting you face to face... and certainly enjoy your comments... your career sounds like its going in a wonderful direction too!

Speaking of Ordering things my MINI is BOOKED from South Hampton to Charleston, SC on the beautiful ship PATRIOT it leaves 4/1/08 at 11:35... it arrived on the dock 2/19/08, the day it was built... I hope someone is covering it up at nights!!

Ah... you're learning, Grasshopper... Seriously - democracy is a wunnerful thing, but with this group at some point SOMEONE has to make a final decision on, well, everything. You've been doing great so far though, so just do what you think looks good.

 

Like I said... it's not live till it goes to its Domain... I'm just messing with you and it... I thought the donut thing was funny ... I'm on vacation next week... not going anywhere, getting the Porsche ready to sell, serviced etc... and I intend to go meet and talk to Aaron perhaps get us live...

In the mean time I wish we could get some additional content for the site... History etc... do you know where to get some of that or should that task be reserved for Aaron?
