If you've ever thought about Autocrossing this is a great "stress free" introduction and you do not need to be an SCCA member to participate. There a several spots left.

There will be a novice autocross school at Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick,
MD on March 15th, 2003.
The school will cover every aspect of autocrossing that is most important to
Novices including, but not limited to Registration, Safety, Worker
Positions, Technical Inspection, Walking the Course, Car Setup, Car Classing
and Driving.

The school will run from 8am to 3pm with a lunch break in the middle. You
need to be READY TO GO at 8am. It will take place rain or shine so please be
prepared if bad weather is being forecast.

The instructors for this event will be Brian Garfield, Lee Piccione, and
Brian Burdette. The maximum number of participants is limited to 16 in order
for the individuals to get the most attention and get questions answered.

The cost of the school will be $90 per person and lunch will be included.

To register, please make a check out to Brian Garfield and send it to: 307
Longbow Road, Mount Airy, MD 21771. In the memo, please indicate “WDCR
Novice School”. Please do not make it out to SCCA.
ALSO, please indicate year, model, make, any modifications to the car and an
email address and phone number in order to get a hold of everyone.
The first 16 checks received will fill the school, after that, you’ll be put
on a waiting list. Cancellations will be allowed with a full refund up to
March 10th.
If the school is filled, I'll hold your check for the next school if you
like.

Any questions should be deferred to Brian Garfield at garfield@mini2.com

Thank you.

I won't have a Mini until the fall, but I would be interested in trying this out with my Miata. My technical question is my Miata is not equipped with a rollcage. Does this make it ineligible? If so, would it be so if I put the hardtop on it?
