We had a great attendance at our first meeting at Quaker Steak and Lube and we are excited to get this club on its feet!

Please make plans to meet us February 16, 2003 on North Shore Drive between Heinz Field and PNC Park. We will gather at noon (leaving promptly at 12:15 PM) and take a MINI tour de Pittsburgh in a caravan arriving at Valhalla Microbrewery and Restaurant (1150 Smallman Street, Pgh. PA 15222) for lunch at 1PM. Valhalla has agreed to open for lunch for a private party just for us! Lunch buffet cost is $14/person and includes: teriyaki skewered beef, chicken Florentine, salad, dessert, soft drinks and coffee or tea (pay at the door). We will park together in a lot across the street at a cost of $6/car (pay attendant). and we can walk from lunch to the show. The Pittsburgh Auto Show cost is $8/person (pay at ticket booth). You can choose to attend the scenic drive, lunch, auto show or all three!

We will have a brief club meeting before lunch where we plan to vote on the club name and discuss other club formation issues. Don’t miss out on a chance to cast your vote on a club name! Annual club dues have been set at $20 per car. We will begin accepting dues at this event.

This is MINI’s first appearance at the auto show and it’s sure to generate a lot of excitement. Be sure to wear your MINI gear with pride!

After re-reading the previous post, I realize that it is long and detailed - so I thought I'd also break it down into a simple itinerary:

Feb. 16, 2003:

12:00 - Meet at North Shore Drive between Heinz Field and PNC Park
12:15 - Departure: MINI Tour de Pittsburgh Gas - $1.50
12:45 - Arrival: Valhalla Microbrewery/Restaurant Parking - $6
1:00 - Lunch/Club meeting Meal - $14
3:00 - Pittsburgh Auto Show Admission - $8

Tons of Fun with MINIs (and MINI owners) - Priceless.

There will also be prizes/giveaways for Club members sponsored by
