A few of us owners are trying to put together a MINI CLUB OF PITTSBURGH (including WESTERN PA, EASTERN OHIO, W.VA) and would welcome your participation. So far we have 6 people firmly interested. If you could be interested please contact me: Steve Grieme (MindTheGap) email: sgrieme@zoominternet.net. We are trying to have our first get-together to discuss what we would like to see in a club. We hope to do this mid-January (either the 14th, 15th, or 16th) at Quaker Steak & Lube in Cranberry Township. This date and location is not firm yet and can change depending on your feedback. Please let me know if you are interested in attending or any other feedback and suggestions you have. Thanks!

Woohooo! Alright, let's get this show on the ROAD!!! (All puns intended - even the ones I haven't thought of.)

Glad you decided to sign up here at MCO - Welcome! There's much more here than I mentioned in my email, but it would take an infinitely long email to tell you about it all.... Have a look-see and ENJOY!

I'll help you keep an eye here for "recruits!"

I would guess that the best way to find people for the club would be to have Bill Schmitt include a mention of it in his next mailing?

Rhett, who works for Bill at P&W has graciously agreed to do just that. In fact, he handed out flyers at the Oglebay event for us. He also forwarded our email invitation to anyone who he had a mailing list for. Rhett also said they would give a flyer to anyone that bought a Mini too. We had 2 more people sign up today 12/16/02, making a total of 8 thus far. Not bad! We are striving for a Mid-January meeting (Jan.14, 15, or 16) at the Cranberry Township Quaker Steak & Lube. Please tell your friends!!!

Hey, PMark! Glad to see you're pretty much back to your reg'lar postin' self!

I have latched on to this whole MINI club thing and have been exchanging emails with MtG for a few days. I hope Mara lets you get back into your MINI soon and that you'll decide to come join us at the meeting in January!

Even before you answer whether you want to be involved or not, I'm going to ask you to start putting those creative juices you show off around here to work coming up with some nifty potential club names!

Take care of yourself, chap!

I stopped by Quaker Steak & Lube today and spoke to a manager about having our first get-together there in Mid-January. Originally I suggested January 14th (Tuesday), 15th (Wednesday) or 16th (Thursday.) Since Tuesdays are All-you-can-eat wings night, she thought it will probably be pretty crowded. Wednesday night is $1 off bucket night, but not very crowded. Thursday is no special deal, except when the weather is better the place is lousy with bikers. (I would be proud to crowd the parking lot with that many MINIs!) Anyway, I'm going to suggest Wednesday the 15th, 2003 for getting together there. I think 6:30 is a good time, since happy hour runs until 7 PM. Happy hour is nitely, with 1/2 price appetizers and drinks. She said I could call ahead and reserve a table in a relatively quiet corner (the place is usually as noisy as a train station at rush hour!) Anyway, at that time it shouldn't have the dinner crowd yet, and maybe we can grab the front-row parking spots. Happy Motoring!
