The last time we did this run it was announced with fairly short notice, why not repeat history, right?!

The date of June 5th, Sat @11AM for this second running of the Four Dogs, THIS WEEKEND! Last time we did this run about 4PM to about 5:15PM which ended in the dark. This time will be a daylight run!

Those of you who did this one before can attest that this was/is the sleeper of mini events last year. We had about 7-8 MINIs or so and ONE OF THE FEW runs (thus far) with not only a few hairpins, but that if you threw your MINI into some of these curves, you caught some air! This time, we are NOT doing any gravel roads, all roads are paved. There's scenery, horses, farms, twisty river roads, single country lanes, high speed rolling two lane roads, covered bridges, one lane bridges and no dirt or stone roads.

The name "Four Dogs" refers to our end of the run "landing" spot (link) :

The photo shown on this link is where we lined up our MINIs last time. Since they open at 11:30AM, by the time we arrive, we should still be able to snag prime spots together. It should be warm on June 5th, so our reward for a good run will be Dog's outdoor patio. Ahhhh, gotta love the warmer days! The Four Dogs is a relaxed, casual atmosphere, good food, good bar. The do allow dogs, but not in the indoor dining room areas. We expect to be at the Four Dogs NLT 12:30PM.

So if you've done the Four Dogs Run the first time, chat it up!! This is the perfect opportunity for new members to get out and experience a run with the dogs, er I mean MINI's!!! It's close to Philly and not long in duration. The approximate mileage is 50 miles and will take just over an hour to complete. Rest assured, you will be exhilarated the whole time!

The meeting place is WENDY'S parking lot, Swedesford Road and rt.100, the Exton Plaza, just off Rt. 202. Just look for the MINI's.

To get to Wendy's:
(FROM PHILADELPHIA) Rt.202 S to Rt.30 W towards Downingtown/Coatesville, (NOT BUSINESS RT. 30), Exit at Rt.100 Exton/West Chester. At the bottom of the ramp, turn Right on Rt.100 N/Pottstown Pike towards Exton. Count five lights, turn RIGHT at the fifth light (Swedesford Road). Next light turn LEFT (Fairfield Pl) into the shopping center, Wendy's is across from "Coconuts"

PLEASE PLAN TO BE AT THE WENDY'S LOT NLT 10:45AM, so that we may depart at 11AM sharp.

I suggest to all that are planning to attend, it would be wise to look up the location of the Four Dogs to plan your return route home.

It seems like I'm either working or out of town for the MINI runs lately. This one is no exception. I live 5 minutes from the Four Dogs but am going to be at the NASCAR weekend in Dover on the 5th. Maybe I can talk my wife into attending (she wouldn't be caught dead at Dover.) The good news is that I get to drive on these twisties everyday, up and down the hills of West Bradford Township.
