I have a few questions about window tinting in the Richmond area.

1. Does anyone have tinted taillights around in Richmond and if so have you had a problem with being pulled over for them.

2. What is the maximum tint that people have used on the front windows.

I would like to use 25% tint for the rear window and probably tint the sunroof too although I don't know how much.

 

The maximum limit on front windows is 50% while 35% is allowed on the rears and back window.

I have 35% on all windows on my MCS, but recently got ticketed on 295 for them (measured by the cop) along with no front plate .

Before taking delivery of my car, I had Crown MINI do the tinting for $150 as one of the service technicians there does it on the side.

The sunroof is tinted already but I just last week ordered a roof graphic for my car which should block additional light.

Hey Mike -

Did they pull you over just for the missing front plate and tinting or were you breaking other rules as well?

Are you going to appeal the ticket for the tinting since you are in spec?

PS - who's coming on the June 6th drive from Crown MINI at 8:30am?
