Yeah. The back seat is not a problem. It doesn't even require any tools.

I did the fuel filter on Artoo a couple of weeks ago. Using the instructions that are around, it is not difficult and well within the skills of anyone who is patient. It requires no special tools and if you budget an hour, that will probably be enough.

Two things to consider. There are some filters out there that have the wrong seals. I think they actually say for Diesel only. Be sure you don't get one of those. Also, there are two large main seals. The install only requires one.

So, don't do this when you are rushed as it requires patience as there are some fragile pieces on the bottom of the assembly that houses the filter and you should be fine.

Oh. One other thing. It is handy to have two sets of hands at times.

I'll take your advice R.F...It sounds pretty simple but I've heard can be messy because of it's location.I'll give it a try.

If that is your worry, then go for it. I have done the job twice on two different cars. Both with about half a tank of gas. When you unclip the hose it squirts some fuel. Not much but some that can be caught with a rag. Then when you open the canister some fuel spills as well. But frankly it is not much if you take your time.
