I'm thinking about extending my trip. I've already got a Family Disney Vacation scheduled 9/23-9/28.... staying another day with the family and doing the Mickey/Mini event would rock like G'N'R'!!!

Yes, I am a noob both to the world of MINI rally and have never been to Disney. I'm registered for the event and the hotel and have ordered up a pass for Epcot. I've been mapping my journey to Orlando - wishing there were some nice & scenic side roads to travel. Is there anything scenic and still pleasant to drive between Gainesville and Orlando?

What else should a novice know and plan for when heading to MM8?

 

Am brand new to MINI but old hat at Disney.
This will make my 12 th trip. Although my first drive.
Like you was looking for a scenic route as I have heard I 95 straight from by can be tedious long trip and no matter how you gps it they always seem to go that route.
We went to AAA office spoke with the rep and was given a triptik they helped us re route our trip to take the "costal route" to include places we'd like to see on the way down. It's definetly not the fastest route but for us it's the journey.
