MM7 Update - Richard Petty Driving Experience/Sunshine Mini Event

This year during Mickey and MINI we're presenting an exciting new event at the Richard Petty Driving Experience. On Saturday, October 1st you will have the opportunity to drive your MINI on the track for several parade laps, or you can choose to go on a Ride-Along with one of the Petty Drivers in one of the Petty racecars.

The Parade laps cost $25.00 per MINI plus tax and include a picture of your car on the track near the start finish line with the Walt Disney World SPEEDWAY logo in the background. Your car will not be able to exceed 60mph. Reservations for the parade lap are not necessary, however once the MM7 registration site is up you will be able to pre-sign up so we can let the Petty Experience know how many people are coming so they can be staffed appropriately.

The Ride-Along is a discounted rate of $79.20 plus tax. This includes hot laps around the Petty Track with a Petty Driver in a Petty car. If you are interested in the Ride-Along experience please call the Petty Experience at 1-800-237-3889 and ask for the Sunshine Mini Car Club Ride-Along rate on October 1st at 2pm. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance for those wishing to participate in the Ride-Along.

There is a special update for this event coming soon as the Fabulous Team at FERMAN MINI in Tampa has decided to sponsor a picnic lunch. More information on this lunch will be announced within the next couple of weeks.

Awesome. Side note...I am in Orlando this week for work and found a place near I-4 and 528 (exit 4 on 528), Orlando Grand Prix http://www.orlandogp.com/ It was a blast and only open for 2 weeks or so. The karts are electric and way cooler than the gas karts you might be used to. They will do 45 mph on the large track and will drift pretty good on the smaller drift track. I don't plan on undermining any MM7 plans but if some want to go try it I would highly recommend it. Even my extra fluffy build on a 6'-6" frame fit.

That track looks cool. The MM7 schedule is already pretty packed. But I might look at making that a local event for the MINI's of Orlando group.
