Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for automatic transmission specialists, preferrably close to Lowell.

Interestingly enough Lowell Automatic Transmission says they don't work on "exotic" cars like MINIs -- even though the tranny is the same one used in Toyotas, VWs, etc. Not exactly confidence-inspiring....

Anyone know anything about Northeast Transmission in N. Chelmsford?

Basically I'm just looking for someone who would be able to replace the valve body with a Revmax unit; this seems to be the fix for Aisin trannys that are starting to act up once they hit a certain age. Certainly cheaper than a full tranny replacement but more of a true fix than repeated ATF drain-and-fills.

Not an imminent project for me (I hope!); just doing some early homework....
