Hey mini-rolls,

I sent you an email a day or two ago asking if you still have these kits available. I just don't trust myself with electrical stuff.

For those w/ the lowly paper clip method: picture the scenario in which the bracket holding the tail light bulbs is jarred loose. Next, picture the several wraps of electrical tape which holds the paper clip in and completely covers it from touching anything else metal suddenly unraveling. Next, picture the paper clip, in a very protected position, coming into contact w/ a metal body part- all of this w/out the driver noticing any sound in the back from loose parts flying around. The MINI dealership might have a problem denying a claim in which a factory light bracket, which is made to be taken out for bulb replacement by the owner, popped out in normal use, regardless of what happened after that. For you folks who get nervous after reading this, I recommend you stock up on duct tape and plastic wrap, dig a bomb shelter, and don't eat any processed foods. Things could happen if you're not careful

I have done some re-alignment and am now able to offer the Brake Light Kit for $12.00 which now includes shipping to anywhere in the US.

So for those of you that are time challenged or if you are just not wanting to go out and look for the parts you need to turn the rear fog lights into the additional brake lights, I have your solution.

I now have a Pay-Pal Account and can send out email bills.

Those that have already ordered from me have already been notified about the change in my pricing and I have sent each individual a refund of the shipping charges.

I have also named the product;

"Give Me A Brake Light" Modiification Kit.

For those that would like a kit please email minirolls@msn.com

Mini-Rolls:

Installed the Brake-Light Kit [with a friend's assistance] this past weekend. Looks great, feels safer; got to keep those SUV clowns off your tail....!

Thanks mini-rolls for putting this kit together!

I got it in the mail today and in 5 minutes (4 for the first side and 1 for the second) everything was done. The provided instructions were great. Overall, this was a simple and safe way to accomplish the brake-light mod!

mini-rolls,

Got your handy dandy brake light mod kit today. Awesome! No fuss, no muss, no real brain power required (on my part at least) - just the way I like it!

Thanks again!

Kits are available for those that do not know how to make this mod or for those that are just time challenged.

In an infinite universe, anything is possible...

Also, odd how this thread started becoming re-active after I bumped the do-it yourself method(s) thread...

Just a note on the rear fog light enabling from MINIUSA....I am not sure but if the the light is enable like the Mercedes lights then the light rear fog light will be the light enabled. A friend has a Mercedes SUV and that is all that lights up when he turns on his rear fog lights. He called the dealer to verify that both are not on and they told him that is the configuration for the USA, both lights could not be on. Sounds dumb but want to let those who are waiting for this they may to verify it with MINI USA if possible. I checked the NHSTA web site and have not been able to find any regulations on the rear fog-light.

For those that do not want this my kits are still available. Email minirolls@msn.com
