Looking for Snow Shoes
Looking for Snow Shoes
Hello all.... I am looking for some inexpensive snow tires (ideally, wheel and tire together set-ups but I am realistic, too) that I can throw on my new MCS.
So, all you in the New England area, what do you have that you want to get rid of? Some old 15" rims you never used because you got something prettier
? How about some snow shoes that didn't sell when you sold your mini?
Let me know what you have and what you are looking to get for it.
Thanks,
Charlie

I checked this out last year. If you go "cost effective" with steel rims get proper MINI fitted wheels from the Tire Rack. They are way cheaper than dealer ordered steel rims. Don't fall into the Honda "Civic rims will fit" deal from the local tire store retailers. They don't fit unless the center hub is the exact diameter as MINI usually needing a hub-centric adaptor ring, the proper offset to clear the brake calipers and you have to convert the BMW type wheel bolts to conventional studs and tapered wheel nuts. You spend more $ for a compromise that WILL shimmy at high speed if not true center.
Check the dealer for "pulls", new 15" 7-hole wheel/tire sets customers trade in for aftermarket wheels when they take delivery. I bought four new alloy 15's with new Continental tires mounted for $400 they considered used.
