SOLD: Leda Coilovers

Sold.
Leda coilovers for a MCS. Purchased March 2003, used mostly for autocross but probably only on the car for 7 months total. These are adjustable height and 24 position damping oil units. These include the 250 Ft/LB spring rate front spring (2.5") designed by Leda for the MINI. The rear springs are 2.25" 275 Ft/Lb spring rate hypercoils.

These coilovers show some cosmetic wear but are functionally perfect. One of the fronts and one of the rears have been rebuilt. Rebuilding costs approx $125 per unit.

I also have extra, stiffer front & rear springs. Included no charge.

Price: $1000, buyer pays shipping.

dpayne, I may be interested. Gotta discuss with the powers that be. Any idea what rates the stiffer springs are?

Kyle:

The other springs are:

Front (2) 7" 300 ft/lb
Front (2) 7" 250 ft/lb
Rear (2) 8" 350 ft/lb
Rear (2) 9" 185 ft/lb

The current springs are very good I would not recommend going stiffer unless you are going to track the car.

Now you sell, after I get rid of the MINI. David, are you going to Topeka this year? Need a co-driver?

Yes Chris -- I saw where you sold your ride. No Topeka for me this year, but I am going to ACU-4 at Little Creek for the SE Divisional the last weekend in August - If you can hop out for that I'll gladly give you a co-drive.

just curious; but why did you have the one front and one rear rebuilt?

The front one was my fault - trying to get the top nut back on I nicked the shaft with vise grips, even though I padded it first. The shock lost oil during an autocross event in June 2003. I purchased a cordless impact gun as a result of this to use on the shock tops. The rear one lost its seal and oil during an autocross a month ago. It was repaired and returned within a week.
