Low mileage R53s come up frequently on BAT. You can set an alert for that model and get notified when one goes up for auction. What's your def of 'low mileage'?

I watch all the auctions/autotrader/etc. daily. If a r53 jcw has been listed in the last 4 years I’ve been looking I’ve probably seen it. I would prefer the mileage to be below 15k but would consider slightly higher depending on condition. At this point I’m almost convinced it doesn’t exist. I’m hoping someone has one sitting in their garage somewhere and all I have to do is convince them to sell it. Everything has a price.
With a number that low, it very well could be unobtanium. I'm sure you're aware that a 20+ year old car with so few miles might be in mechanically worse condition than the same age car with 20-30k miles on it...I would think one owner and all service records might be more of a priority, but that's just my opinion.

For that matter, a car driven 3-5k miles per year would be quite the garage queen. Still, after 20+ years will have at least 60,000 miles.... Something to think about.
All valid points. The problem is most people don’t maintain their cars to my standards so a car with 60k miles isnt going to meet my standards. There’s plenty of GP1s available but I would prefer a JCW.
I’m interested. A 8k mile GP1 just sold on BaT 3 months ago for $40k, so $50k would be a little ambitious. If they would consider selling let me know. Thanks.

but that 8k mile gp , probably wasn't an original owner . that's worth money , this GP has always lived in an air condition garage .
ill ask him tomorrow.
It is a shame mine with its babied 30K of use, new tires days old, recent plugs and filters, no modifications, lots of fun factory options, new top mechanicals, always a garaged (day and night), with no winters, no rain and three elderly comfortable owners, with full hard copy records and no needs won't work but I do understand. I spent decades hunting just the right TVR, about as long after a Stag that would work. So I contribute this that I have come across and wish you luck.
This may not work or still be around. It is not local to me and I do not know it.
Wow super nice car, but a pretty large premium, even in Canadian dollars. Probably close to or a little more than it cost new over 20 years ago! @krawzdogg in your discussions about his other cars, have you asked whether or not he routinely services the superchargers on these guys, regardless of mileage?
He has been servicing 1st gen Minis since they were released, FWIW in my experience, he wouldn’t sell a car that wasn’t totally sorted. He has a Rolodex of clients with garage queens.
Thanks, that's very helpful information. I would love to know the oil situation and overall condition of s/c units that have a lot of years on them, but relatively few miles on them.
