Possibly thinking about selling my 2006 MINI COOPER S JCW GP, #1665. Unsure if anyone is currently in the market, but figured I would offer to enthusiast here first, before turning to BaT or Cars & Bids. The car is in perfect shape, with 13,4xx miles on the odometer. Since I've had the car I have sourced an OE Carbon Fiber dash and downtubes, shifter and e-brake. I have the original parts and would sell it stock if interested parties want the OE dash, shifter and e-brake handle.
I can list more of the details in the coming days, but figured if anyone was truly interested they could reach out to me for more details. I am in the market for a Porsche GT3, so I need the funds from this car to help with that car.
Here is some additional information in regards to the GP1. I purchased the car with 5,330 miles on the odometer. I'm the second owner of the car, and since it has been in my possession it has received the following:
- Installed CravenSpeed Strut Defenders in Dec of 2021 with 7,417 miles
- Installed new power steering lines due to a leak including a new power steering reservoir in March of 2023 at 10,081 miles
- Installed ATI Super Damper from WMW in March of 2023 at 10,081 miles
- Installed DDMWork Intercooler Diverter in March of 2023 at 10,081 miles
- Installed Carbon fiber dash and downtubes in July of 2023 at 10,418 miles
- Noticed a coolant leak, and replaced Water Pump, thermostat and switched the thermostat housing to metal from the OE plastic housing. Installed Canton Coolant Expansion Tank in March of 2024 at 11,198 miles
- Installed TPE Precision Charge Pipe in March of 2024 at 11,198 miles
- Installed OE Boost Gauge and Voltmeter in Sept of 2024 at 12,971 miles
- Oil has been routinely changed using 5W40 Castrol Euro and OE filters
I'll post pics and such this week, please reach out for any additional questions.
There's one up for sale on BAT right now with only 8,000 miles. Current bid is $30k. You'll have a excellent recent sale to compare to once that auction ends...

Yeah, I actually got that email from BaT yesterday when I saw it get posted. Figured it would be a good comparison.
Keep in mind it's not a JCW like yours. And the super low mileage on that one may actually be a disadvantage. At least you've driven yours a little more. What is the manufacture date of your tires?

I plan to post some more details tonight, but I believe the tires have a date code of 2020, that's when I purchased the GP. When I purchased the car, it had about 4,800 miles on it.
Is it #1665? or #1668? Pics are a sparse, a bit too far away and low res for a $46K car!!! Looks like a really nice example though, probably one of the best out there right now, even considering the 8K mile car.

It's number #1665. The pics were nice and big when I took them, but then of course I had to shrink them down due to size restraints here on the forum. If anyone wants additional pics, they can email me at simpsoap@gmail.com and I can provide pics of the car.

Pics have been posted, I can post additional this weekend.
Additional details have been added to the original post. If anyone wants additional pics, please let me know. I can also remove the dash, downtubes, shifter and e-brake as well as the gauges and sell the car 100% stock. I have retained all OE parts.
8k BAT GP just sold for $40k plus 5% commission $42k
Looks like yours is just as niceeee !
GLWS !!
I saw that as well. Might pull the dash and such, and drop the price - which might draw up more interest. I believe I have done a few things to my GP1 that the BaT car didn't have, such as the coolant reservoir, ATI Damper, TPE Precision Charge Pipe. All which I think have been an added benefit to the car.
Did you tune the car after the charge pipe installation? I’m guessing the AFR is lean if you didn’t.
The car has not been tuned. I messaged many times with TPE Precision before the install, and they said that the AFR would be a bit leaner, that it could be run without a retune, but for maximum gains I would need a retune. There was definitely a noticeable bump in power and sound just by adding the charge pipe, and I didn't feel a retune was necessary. I can always remove the charge pipe and put the stock pipe back in its place. Car has ran flawlessly.

Unlike BAT, there's no way for potential bidders to see how much interest there is in this listing, either by page views or number of watchers. I hope that information is available to you as the seller.
personally, i believe this car deserves to be on Bat. There are no tire kickers there with GP fantasies. It’s super easy to submit/list a car there. However, be aware that initial pictures submitted will be in the gallery upon auction (cannot be removed), so choose carefully.
Totally agree. On the Pcar site, it is almost guaranteed to be a RNM. Given the recent sale of another GP in very similar condition, that would be the natural place to go. Seller could always list it there if Pcar doesn't go above reserve. The pix for BAT would need to be an a different level, of course.
I completely agree about the pics. These were quickly snapped with my Pixel 8 Pro in the garage to simply see if there was any interest on the forum for the car to go to an enthusiast. Given the current market situation, I'm not sure if now is a good time to list on BaT, or if I should just continue to hold onto the car for a bit longer.
