It mounts in front of the cigarette lighter - it was standard on the MC 40 cars. I’ll see if I can upload a pic.

I can't imagine looking down that far to check gauges on the track!

It’s better than having none. For me, I had an Audi Coupe ( 1981, and a 1982 ). Their gauges were also down in the center stack.

It’s a very nice piece, I am getting rid of it, as I managed to get a complete OE stack - as in the pic .

Well, the good thing about our cars is we can put whatever gauges we want where we want them to be so that we can prioritize the information according to our needs/desires. The location of this gauge pod is great for secondary gauges, as I already have my most important gauges in my line of sight.

Agreed, anyone can put any gauge they want anywhere they want, but the first lesson they teach you on the track is 'Eyes up at all times'. The best location I've seen on this site for additional gauges is the A pillar. It was a very nice install, and they were mounted from the top to about a third of the way down. From the pic, I think the left gauge is Voltage and right is oil temp, but I'm not sure. Either way, neither are critical on track. I take a quick peek at my oil pressure going down the longest straight and that's about it, and only worry about boost when I see the red light, which goes on at 16 pounds. They are mounted on the steering wheel rack, so my vision isn't compromised too badly, and I make sure to get my eyes back up immediately. A lot can happen in front of you at speed in .1-.2 seconds.

The carbon fiber surround is a very nice look, and I wish the seller good luck with the sale.
