Crooked River Garage do not sell the most pristine R53s in the states: they've got a certain 'reputation' in the Mini owning community (and no, I don't have to spell out what that reputation is).

Buying up the cheap ones and selling them for 10k more😉 or telling you that you would never find one for under 5k that doesn’t need 5k in maintenance. Don’t ask how I know.
Nice unit. Worth 12k? Probably not. To be worth that it would need to be a factory JCW and have a spotless undercarriage, which you did not add photos of. No chrono package, no leather inside...
I am sorry you bought an overpriced car from Crooked River. Specially now that the car market is finally cooling down.

Ok bud, whatever you say. Also, previous owner bought it from Crooked River.

hes just trying to help... it's like you came here hoping to just make a dollar and we arnt very fond of that approach.
no offense but your asking 2x of the cars true market value and even at a time when the market is crazy high.
you should go check the market and see what these cooper's have been selling for NOT what you see listed. What you see listed is still listed because its a silly price.
no offense because you got a nice looking ride there but for 12k you can get an almost fully built rmw car built at rmw by rmw. That's our point. I mean cmon
so we're not here trying to flame you.. just trying to help..

Adam you might be a little off with a fully built RMW car for 12k but I do have to agree with everyone else. 12k is 150% of what it should be. I have a low mileage R52 S and If I would want to sell it, 10-11k is the max I would get for it. I was talking with a buddy of mine and I was asking him how do you increase the value of the first gen mini's. 1. Buy a clean decently low mile JCW . 2. Convert it to as oem as possible and if you have oem jcw carbon or leather parts, that will make the value sky rocket. 3. List it on BAT to get the most of your money because those bidders are crazy.

I mean cmon , i just got a very nice , not as nice as yours condition but still not 1spec of rust or anything a 2004 AERO mini for 2900$. IT had 2x yours mileage but I even got it at a dealer and we know they love their markup..

unfortunately it's not a factor jcw or gp or even an aero and it's got no rare dealer options.. and not having backseat isn't helping the price , sorry but that drops the price of a vehicle unless you selling it as a track car. Imo put the seats back in and it will help the sale..( btw , I have the same seat delete, u suggest installing hinges so your too can swing open for storage underneath if you don't have the seats any longer )
read my entire post. I have the original back seats. It also comes with two sets of wheels with brand new tires. Not to mention it does have a factory limited slip differential (rare option).
I am not “just trying to make a dollar.” I am merely just posting my car up for sale at top dollar but I’m obviously willing to accept offers.
note: I have no harsh feelings to any of you at all. Everyone has opinions. Just want to see the car go to an enthusiast. I understand the market and that’s why I’m willing to take offers.
In a nutshell, little bit of a crazy asking price for what it is. You’d likely do some realistic negotiation to get it sold, so OBO is in effect. The high starting price just throws most enthusiasts off, but no harm in that. It might just take longer to sell here, so I’m sure you have it listed in multiple places. GLWTS.
