Ac has been intermittent, I will fix it soon but in meantime I will lower the price from 15k to 14k. The compressor just needs a new magnet pickup or just swap out the compressor. I will get it done soon..
Sooooo long story short I've been interested in acquiring an r56 to build as a strait line , big turbo car. Pretty much opposite of what I've built this r53 to do. I built this car the past 3x years with intention to be able take it to the track and back with no issues. It's setup to be a daily driver / weekend warrior but after some news I'm doubting my circuit/road race track days will ever come to be unfortunately.
I'm wanting to trade for preferably a big brake jcw r56 and mileage doesn't really concern me or if it's a standard r56 needs atleast an lsd and newer year or lower mileage and NO AUTO'S . Sorry , I don't dislike them by anymeans I just can't see it holding the power I want an r56 to make.
this mini runs avg iat only 20' degrees above ambient temperature. With the ic sprayers and setup I made it actually gets cooler the harder you push it due to increased air flow and ic sprayers and all other mods.
all mods have no more than 10k miles on the oldest parts from when I started modifying it 3x years ago from stock. I got the car with 210k miles and it's at 219 now and I've replaced almost everything that may have been old or worn just for good measure but I will list main things.p.o replaced engine and trans with under 80k , Brand new alternator, battery , coolant flush , new fuel filter and new injectors , new sparkplugs, new cam , crank tmap and map sensors , 0w40 oil , brake fluid , ps fluid , serpentine belt , gear oil , sc oil , had ps system replaced under recall 2x years ago. When I did the head n cam did it got all new timing components and every gasket on up replaced , upgraded headgasket and stock headbolts. Prior owner told me he put an engine n trans from another r53 ( didn't specify year but I've had few 04 parts not match so maybe facelift) but had around 80k when he did and he sold it to me a few months later only. I checked numbers on trans and engine and they didn't match the Vin. He also said he did a stock clutch then also but didn't specify what kind though I suspect it's a stock clutch with single mass flywheel as this guy was a mini nut and didn't cheap out on stuff.. ( like some of my ebay parts 🙄 ).
I just had the body reworked as there was some tailight rust starting but was completely fixed as it was only minor thankfully. It has a custom nardo Grey paintjob that I'd give the job 8/10 , it's nice but not perfect. I'm very **** about my car so aaaaaaany little flaw I know. Every gasket from head gasket on up is new along with most sensors like map , tmap and pcv stuff and even new better vacuum lines.
I didn't overlook anything building this car. I built it to be competitive, fast but still reliable and I've had next to no issues with it yet.
Added up I've put just over 20k$ worth of modifications onto this car to put make it what it is..
it's either a love or HATE kinda car , I get it..if I WERE to sell it I honestly couldn't take anything under 15k for it and I'd be taking a loss even at that but lol it is what it is.. its a labor of love.

so if your considering this car or been considering trading me your r56 that's only worth 10k blueboook let's DO THIS !.
15k is cash price due to the amount of money invested ( over 20k) so if I do trade it I WOULD be WILLING to TRADE DOWN for the rite car. Just because I wanna start building something else..lol I have as much fun building them as I do driving them..
also it's much MUCH quicker than the video shows.. derderder I was short shifting by 500rpm aaaaaand it was a very very soft launch. I will post a good pull soon as I have a chance but trust me , you'll LOVE it , it is POWERFUL and power is INSTANT.

It's actually not bad cruising in considering the build . You'd think it would drone on the highway or be too bouncy or something and it wasn't. It rode very very nice and I drove mainly freeway , some highway and then some fun twistes back roads by my cottage.
The drive up weather was just cloudy but drive back I was in rain the entire way and even times it was a torrential down pour and the firehawks handled the rain very well. Not one time did it hydroplain or anything.
Id consider that journey a very good shake down.
Sooooooooo , with the intermittent ac i will lower the price down 1,000 to 14,000 but once fixed the price will go back to 15k. So you few who were interested, this might be ur chance to save a few bucks if you act vefor I fix it .
The pic if that blue moris and my mini was the local car show was going on and I had my daughter In the car and she wanted to stop , grab a shake n check out the cars..
The other pics ate just showing the drive and where the gauges and stuff are running and then my final mileage once I finally got back home..
id also consider a higher mileage older r56 so long as the bpdy and interior are nice plus 5k cash... nothing over 180k and cannot have any rust or dents..minior scratches ect are ok , even a rebuilt title so long as all the panels are evenly gapped ect..
