Description:

Unbelievably fast, fun car! Handles beautifully and corners completely flat with the installed coilovers and lighter wheels, and the JCW Brembo brakes offer unbeatable stopping power. Ordered late 2011 and delivered January 2012. I am the original owner and have maintained it meticulously since. The car is White Silver/Black with Championship Leather interior with JCW-specific red piping.

Only cosmetic issues are a bit of front bumper chips and peeling, and it four small dents in the roof that can easily be removed with PDR.

The car received a new engine about 2000 miles ago at Irvine MINI in 2019. The clutch still has, by their estimation, 55k miles of life left in it.

Installed on the car are:

  • Öhlins R&T coilovers
  • Vorshlag camber plates
  • NM rear control arms with dust boots
  • Work CR Kiwami 17x7 4x100 +38 in custom bronze metallic powder coat - 205/45/17 PZeros all around. Rears have <3k miles, and fronts less than 8k. Freshly aligned 3k ago.
  • Invidia Q300 exhaust mated to stock downpipe
  • OEM Halo DRL fog lamps
  • Lamborghini Verde Mantis painted OEM Brembo calipers and mirror caps
  • Color matched door handles and base Cooper gas cap (chrome delete)
  • OEM blackline taillights and side markers
  • OEM base Cooper blacked out side marker trim
  • OEM Euro wheel arch trim (no reflectors)
  • CF JCW shift **** and handbrake, both with Alcantara boots
  • Custom Alcantara wrapped ‘colorline’ trim
  • OEM GP2 steering wheel with bottom spoke John Cooper Works trim
 EXTRAS:
  • I have a brand new OEM front splitter that will be included with the sale free of charge.
  • I have an ardesign catless downpipe uninstalled, but it can come with the car for an extra fee.
  • Recaro Japan RS-G Alcantara uninstalled, in perfect condition. These can be negotiated to come with the car, as well.

Due to the basically new engine, paired with the cost of the modifications, I’m looking for $22,900 OBO for the car. The downpipe and Recaros will be extra, if you decide they’re up your alley.

Thanks all! Parting with it will be sad, but it’s been an awesome car for the last 9.5 years I’ve owned it. I bought a 2019 Civic Si a couple of years ago, and have only put 2000 miles on the JCW since. I figure it’s time to let a new owner enjoy it!

Cool car. I'd either part the car to some extent, or keep it.

Adding your flavor of mods doesn't really increase the value this much.
Similarly, putting a functional engine in the car does not warrant asking above market value for the car. For most people, it's assumed that the car they buy will have a functional engine in it; it's a loss/cost that you the Owner have to absorb, unfortunately.

I assumed the fact that the car has an engine that's significantly newer than the chassis was a relevant fact.

Thanks for the unsolicited advice though. If you don't want to buy something for a given price, you don't need to buy it.

beautiful car! If I had the cash lying around, I'd ****** this up!

The newer engine is a definite plus. How many miles on the coilovers?

It's a $15k car. Your decision and/or need to dump $xxx into it doesn't change that fact. There's nothing to be mad about, really, and I apologize if my straightforwardness comes off as rude.

I see this all the time; someone eventually creates a vested interest in their car -whether by choice or necessity- and then feels that it changes the market value of the car. It happens with real estate as well.

Just think about it for a second: Many banks won't even lend on a 2012 car, and now you've limited your audience to people who have and are willing to spend $23k cash on a very individual-oriented car, and one that's had engine replacement.

Good luck man, I truly think it's a cool car.

You won’t get half that. A couple weeks ago I sold my R56 JCW with a rebuilt forged engine for less than half what you want to get

I absolutely concur with you, and you shouldn't apologize for being realistic. Added aftermarket parts don't add value to the vehicle. $22k is GP2 territory.

If still available I'd be willing to pay fair market value for it, which is around $12k or so. If that is something that appeals, please let me know.
