Description:
I’m considering a different air filter housing (“intake”) and am looking closely at the DDM.
but:
I happily live in California
I like a fairly stock appearance
So- maybe it’s an appropriate JCW air box setup, IF I can buy one for close to the price of the DDM, which I’d need to swap out every other year for smog inspection.
Do you have one? Is it complete? Is it for sale?
thanks.

Maybe use your stock airbox and make a stealth CAI like this: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ir-intake.html
It’s effectively the same as a de-flapped JCW intake for a fraction of the price. For the original idea/instructions search DaveF airbox or CAI on the net. The biggest thing to worry about is damaging your brake lines making the opening in the rear panel, but as long as you make any cuts or holes with the panel removed from the car it shouldn’t be a problem.
One change I would make would be using a cleanable dry style filter element like an Amsoil nano filter instead of an oiled filter like a K&N.
