ahhhhhhhhhhh

holy crap....that thread was crazy...all i wanted to know was which of the two created more power...not which manufacturer places more ads or has a tender spot in its heart for the car like we do... and of course the cooper wasnt called the MINI DINAN ---he had nothing to do with Mini before the MINI

Try to drive both

Hutto, if you're a member in your local group you may have an opportunity, as I did, to drive both. There was also a time when my dealership had both Dinan and JCW equipped cars on the lot for resale. Ignore the many extremely biased posts and related bashing, driving them is the only true way to find out which best suits your interest.

Good luck - I think you'll be pleased with either.

Since you have driven both, what are your impressions? That's what most of us who are thinking about JCW v. Dinan upgrades want to hear.

Judging by his signature, I think his choice is clear... as is mine.

IMO it really depends on how much power you really want or need, versus the "smoothness" of how it's delivered, or whether you care about having full warranty support at any dealership or not (some people just don't care about that, especially if their local dealership will install and warranty the Dinan bits themselves).

I'm very satisfied with my JCW. I'm sure he's equally happy with his Dinan.

Then again, I have another outlet... I kept my V8 Mustang too.
