Key Fob Upgrade JCW

Hello Mini Fans,

Just thought I would share my key fob upgrade. I swapped out the plastic black surround for an aluminum one. Took only a minute. It slims down the original key fob, fits perfect and gives it some nice heft. They sell on eBay for about $20 bucks.

Go raid your wife/GF's stuff and find some clear nail polish or else this thing will chip the first time you carry it in your pocket. I'm on my third - first one I used urethane, second one I used 2k clear, current one is nail polish. Only the nail polish has held up.

wow thank you! I keep seeing the key im going to be getting and... it looks really clumsy oddball. This is much more fitting of style and size. The original key would be cooler if it had more style on it. The Seaside edition has really wild key, very cool.

Not sure why yours chipped. Mine is aluminum and I already dropped it on concrete and no chips. It's made solid.
