Any Rubbing Issues (JCW Coilovers/18x8 wheel)

Will I run into any issues running the JCW Pro Coilovers and an 18x8 et45 wheel?

I run 17x8 +45, and have for over 50k miles.

The wheels are fine, but clearances are tight. The initial set of tires were Bridgestone RE-71 225/45-17, which just barely touched their outer edge at compression to the rear fender wells at 10 and 2 o'clock. They quickly self clearanced (one day) and were silent thereafter - no drama.
The next set was Yokohama A052 225/45-17, which never rubbed. The current summer set is the Falken Azeni RT660 XL in 225/45-17 which also fits well.

Stories are here.

The Works Coils do not affect tire to strut clearances, so I reckon if the wheels fit with the OEM setup they will also be fine with the JCW setup. Do not lower more than 10-15mm by the way!

Cheers,

Charlie

I'm running JCW pro coilovers (10-ish mm drop) and 18x8 OZ Ultraleggera. I would check the back spacing of the wheels, if possible, just to be sure. F56 JCW O.Z. Ultraleggeaa - North American Motoring
My tires = Hankook Ventus V12 EVO 2 size 215-40-18, no rubbing but car never has any weight in the rear.

Thanks for the info!

Those are actually the wheels I'm considering (or the Leggera HLT). I was down 30mm in the rear on my 2016 with JCW Coilovers, on stock 18's (205/40/18) and never rubbed at all, running 12mm spacers front and rear. I was more concerned about inner strut clearance than anything else, going from a 7 inch wide wheel to an 8, with the same offset. I plan on running 215/40/18's as well, so it appears that everything should be fine.

Thanks again or the reply.....

The math for an 18x8 45mm offset wheel should've been 4mm closer to strut. (see my pics where the backspacing of the 18x8 45et actually match's stock 17x7 wheel). The tire profile i.e. square tire vs tapered tire comes into play too.
Who sells the HLT I didn't see those under the tirerack search engine?

I haven't sourced any dealers yet, but they are listed on the official O.Z. site -----> https://www.ozracing.com/alloy-wheel...ch/leggera-hlt
