Hi all,

Very randomly got offered a standard GP3 intake at an impossibly cheap price which raised 2 questions I was wondering if anyone could help with.

1. does it fit an f56 jcw?
2. if it does is there any point?

I don’t know if it fits under the hood (the GP3 hood is definitely different). But also, the GP3 intakes all the way to intake manifold is larger than the JCW.

 

Don't waste your money. If you're looking for performance there are many better alternatives. Standard intakes for MINIs are compromised by regulations.

The GP3 hood is identical to any other F55/56/57 Cooper S and JCW hood.

 

No it isn't. There are very subtle differences between the F56 and F55 hoods. Evolve had to retool a little bit to make their product work with F55 because of the differences.

 

the 2 inlet snorkels are bigger, and you need to do some cuttings at the standard hood , or buy the GP3 hood. Lots of BMW using that airbox :-)
