Coming back to the Mini family after an 18mo hiatus. I sold the '18 F60 Countryman JCW after driving it for 2.5 years.
I just put in an order for a 2022 JCW F56. Super stoked to get it...but now the 3mo wait! I'm already buying all the little easy things before I have the car; sunshade, Weathertech floor liners, stubby antenna, beltline black-out kit, etc.
Moonwalk Grey
Iconic Trim
17" JCW Track Spoke Black Wheels
Dynamic Damper Control
8-Speed Auto (wanted 6-speed, but wife can't drive stick)
The order is so new I don't have a tracking method yet.

Welcome back. WeatherTech mats are nice if you have harsh weather, but Cocoa Mats are really nice (www.cocomats.com). Just a suggestion for something unique and different ... I have them in both cars and love them.
Good luck with your new mini. We purchased a 2016 56 JCW in November of 2015 and it has been flawless, and ultimately became one of our all time favorite cars. We still have it and it now has 57,326 fun miles on it. We are taking the GP3 into the mountains today for a 10 day adventure for the first time instead of the JCW. We do love it as well, but it has not replaced the JCW as our favorite. Prior to the F series we had an R series JCW that was also one of our favorites. Pound for pound and dollar for dollar minis are hard to beat for the bang for your buck. Good luck and enjoy your new funmobile. Congratulations.
Thanks. Super looking forward to it. I'm basically getting the same powerplant and transmission as my old JCW Countryman but in a smaller, lighter package (almost 700lbs lighter). Now I need to figure out if the Maintenance+ and/or the Extended Warranties are worth it or not.
I really miss driving around in a Mini. Now I have to wait for the obligatory 3 mo.

Cocomats are great I've had them in all 3 Minis. They don't show any wear or any dirt or footprints. You just knock them on the driveway and the dirt falls out.

Wow, I just checked out the link and they look great!
Ordered on 4/19. My dealer told me they didn't have any production slots at the factory for a JCW until the 2nd week of May. Last week he said he was going to try to get a slot from another dealer. That didn't work out so still waiting for the 2nd week of May.
Side note: another dealer I was working for says that he doesn't understand why my dealer can't get a slot. He doesn't have that problem. Not sure if I believe this guy or not. I trust my dealer as this happened last time I factory ordered a car.
My factory order in 2014 went through pretty quickly - if I recall correctly 6 or 7 weeks from placement to delivery in SC. No word yet from my dealer on the new JCW slot.
I bought the Warranty to 100k, just based on the likely brake jobs... All four corners, with those lovely brakes, ain't cheap, and I expected every 30-40k miles. Pads, rotors, and labor are in the $700+ range.
So any regrets so far?
Well the fronts were replaced at 28k, and then the rears at 44k. Then all four corners at 82k. So that's at least $1,400 in benefit. That warranty might also have been a factor when Gollum developed a torn outer boot over the CV joint (new axle, $1,299+) and upper engine mount (passenger side) at 72k (at least $500).
So no - no regrets. That warranty is not cheap, but neither is maintaining a JCW in top condition.
Just to be clear, was that the Extended Maintenance Plan, or the Extended Warranty? Only reason I ask, is I think the extended maintenance plan would have covered the brakes, but the new axle and engine mounts would most-likely be the extended warranty, not maintenance. Also, did you buy at the time of purchase, or later?

You are right, the Extended Maintenance Plan is what covered those items. The program has changed I notice, since my purchase in 2017, so if you are interested read the fine print and caveat emptor.
The boat arrived in NJ this morning! Hopefully, I can get it soon!
BTW: you can get access to all the tracking data including unlimited near real-time GPS tracking if you do two 7-day trials. I waited a day or so to start the trials so I could have a chance to cancel before the trial auto-billed me. You'll need to trial the following services:
Professional - Monthly billing - $66.00 SAT Global, undelayed - Monthly - $212.00
So that would be a huge bill if I had to pay it (canceled today). They do send you a warning two days in advance via email to cancel or you'll get auto-billed.
