Keeping my JCW

I can't afford the GP so I'll keep my '19 JCW 56 with no mods at the present. How close could I get to the GP thump with $3K and what would I get?

I have the NM module and the JCW PRO exhaust on my 2016 JCW and on the dyno it produced 280 HP with the exhaust open. However, the JCW has nowhere near the grunt of the GP3, 307 HP and a whole lot more grunt. Low end pull is fantastic. Once I have it broken in I will have it dynoed as well, 500 miles and change on it, only 700 more until I can put it in beast mode. Played with an Acura yesterday on a back road and he had to work to keep up and I never went over 4,000 RPMs.

Two bits...

Power: Dinan Elite (256whp/286wtq) - $850
Traction: Rse05 17x8 +45 - $1,700
Yokohama A052 225/45-17 - $800
Quaife LSD, installed - $2,500
Handling: JCW Pro Coilovers, align, corner weight - $2,350
K-Mac Camber Plates allowing proper camber and caster - $450

So I've invested $8,650 in my 2018 Works F56, which cost $31,500. So $40,150 all in. The GP3 is $45k, right?

I'm at 2,770 pounds, so 10.8 lbs/hp.

It seems that the GP3 is 2,750, so 9.1 lbs/hp.

I reckon my setup can handle with the GP3, perhaps a bit better just because of the setup. The GP3 surely has the power though, no debate. I like the Elite (with warranty) so I am not interested in trying to get 290-300 bhp out of my B48. I aim to keep my car for a long time.

PS: I also have a back seat. ;-)

Cheers,

Charlie
