How to overcome blindspots on my 2008 R53 JCW convertible
My wife frequently complains about the restricted view out the small rear window of the convertible top making backing up and right rear corner a big blind spot. This is a very nice mini and really like the supercharger. However, I have to agree about the limited visibility. Does anyone have a workable solution? If not, I might have to sell it.

Really? You would sell the car because of a blindspot? Most of overcoming this "issue" would have to come down to getting over the vehicle proportions. Get used to what you can and can't see out the back, what you can and can't see in the mirrors, and adjust. Also, backing up into parking spots will make exiting easier.
Plus, you have the convertible top!! Put the top down, and the whole world opens up into view!

You can order a convex mirror for the driver's side from these folks.

Or aspheric mirrors here-

I believe they would both improve things. I have aspheric mirrors on my R55 and I like them. Let us know how it goes.
