Ceramic Coated Downpipe

Just got my RacdynDP back from Swain Tech with the White Lightning Ceramic Coating (The Best)
Have an AutoX tomorrow so won't have time to install but can't wait to see the new results.

Looks great! Swain is almost around the corner from me. I'd like to get the full hot side of my turbo, manifold, and down pipe coated.

Installed the Swain White Lightning Ceramic Coated 2.75" Catted Downpipe from Racing Dynamics … https://www.racdyn-usa.com/PROD/130+10+56+600.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwlovtBRBrEiwAG3XJ-4aC-pcm08SuKX2qp4oJPpGsoUXmBf4RhyYmb4Hadi-GNLf2AgeABxoCtxAQAvD_BwE

It
fit perfectly and sounds great...just a bit deeper than stock. Haven't had a chance to do any testing or AutoX with it yet but I can't wait. The Stock Downpipe is not an easy task to remove. The heat shields are a PITA to get off. I figured since the Ceramic Coating would hold in the heat...the heat shields could be removed/unbolted/cutout and it wouldn't cause heat problems. Attach to my NM Exhaust that is 2.75" in Diameter...the whole system should flow great. The stock upper Cat innards look almost SOLID...The new 200 cell is definitely more spacious for exhaust to exit.

One Mod we did do to the new Downpipe is Slot the two bolt holes underneath the second Oxygen Sensor...It made it much easier to install...so did not having to work around the stock heat shields. Taking them off also reduced the weight by around 5-7 pounds I suspect.

Other Mod was to stretch the Adapter that joins the downpipe to the NM Exhaust. Both were 2.75" and the adapter was 2.75" to 2.5" so a very careful expanding of the end where the V Clamp attaches the two together worked out fantastic.

The new Downpipe is 200 Cell...looking at the stock cat I would guess it is 400 Cell.
