Drivetrain AR Design Downpipes
AR Design Downpipes
I'm considering purchasing the AR Design downpipe for my R56, but I read a thread where a user indicated that it was hard to install and required cutting of one or more heatshields. If you have the AR Design downpipe, could you please share your installation experience? I would prefer to not do any cutting, etc.
If your looking for a catless downpipe check out ours it is on sale and way cheaper but no modification to make it fit.

It is also a one piece pipe rather than 3 or 4 like that, and has a thicker turbo flange.
If you want a catted downpipe the Akrapovic can't be beat.

Only issue I've seen on here with Evolve was quickly and nicely resolved. I'd definitely look into them.
I really don't like when a vendor or business owner makes business by talking down about competitors... not entirely professional. On that note, I highly doubt the AR one is of low quality, they have a reputation across other brands as well. They make a quality product, but I see only 2 flaws: Their pricing for such a simple product, and 3" is a bit excessive for these cars. THOSE are the reasons I would steer away from them, not because a competitor talked trash about them.....
If I were in your shoes, I would personally look into Evolve. The Way one looks good too. Evolve offers an awesome price on good products and they have a catted option cheaper than any other catted one's I've seen, if you're so inclined.
