JCW software?

I have heard that this package cures all ills and makes the "S" run amazing. What's up? Does anyone want to send me a PM to tell me where I can get this "moonshine."?

Only available at your MINI dealer - kissing booty with your SM will help greatly. You are over-hyping it being cure-all though An afternoon getting your UNIchip custom mapped will be your best solution.

I agree but UNichip has no dealer in and around Atlanta. Randy is not scheduled to come and I want the damn thing fixed NOW.

I went for a long drive today and in 3 and 4th on a nice winding country road all was right with the world except for that annoying stumle steady state from 3-4K and it might be higher but I tend to shift and not hold 5K.

The dealr is going to see me next weeek after the Miltek header and cat-back go on. he is a good guy and very accomodating

Don't do it! There's a guy on here who had a pretty well modded MINI but no JCW kit. He somehow got the JCW ECU and although he did think it ran "smoother", he lost well over 10hp!!!! The JCW ECU is for the JCW kit only. It'll neutralize the effectiveness of half your mods!

Here's one: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...highlight=GIAC

There is at least one more thread on this that I can't find right now. You might want to PM AMPR. He's the one that did it and had dyno testing.

The problem is that the JCW ECU was programmed and tested with only the JCW options. It was not developed for different stages. This would be very similiar to getting a GIAC or Unichip custom program for a head, throttle body, header, intake, pulley...., and then only having an intake on your car. No one would even question as to why the chip wasn't working right. I would say stay away from the JCW chip, unless you have the JCW package. If you are wanting smoothness from your car you may want to look at the AmD Unichip. It has been touted to run about as smooth as the JCW. If you want a lot of torque, take a look at the GIAC. If you want decent power along with more customizability, than the Unichip is a great choice. If you are a real DIY kind of guy and you want a very cheap alternative, than look at the MTH.
