'13 R61 JCW Strut Brace

Had a Megan Racing strut brace on my '12 Countryman. Went to put that on my '13 R61 JCW, and there was no way it was going to fit. Looking at the websites, it should fit, but it doesn't. I'll get a picture at some point. Anybody else with a JCW have this issue?

The red circles are the problem points. They seal with the hood, and I seriously hesitate cutting into them to install the brace.

Interesting. Wonder why those were added at all?

I've seen pictures of JCW engine bays with and without those pieces. I'm wondering if it is the difference between factory JCW and dealer JCW. Honestly, I don't know.

Id probably just take them off and install the bar. Better than cutting them up.

JCW R60 and R61's had sound insulation and baffles that are not on the S models. I verified this on RealOEM when I noticed them on my JCW Countryman.

You can just notch those panels to make it fit. I'd try to do it under the rubber seal so it can go over the bar.
