Last Friday i had some Ireland Engineering fixed camber plates and there wheel stud kit installed on my 06 JCW. The car feels great but now the brakes are making a ton of noise. Sounds like the pads are not retracting and are rubbing on the rotor. Doesnt seem to slow the car down but the noise is epic. Anybody ever run into a similar issue? Thanks!

 

Does the sound go away when you are on the brakes? If not it could be something stuck between the dust shield and the disc...or the dust shield was damaged during installation.

I'd also double check brake lines are clipped back into there mounts just in case

 

Yea, sounds like an installation problem.
The parts you have, on "their" own will not cause any problems.
I installed studs some time back with no problems. I have a pair of Ireland adjustable plate's I've yet to install, but see no problem in doing so.
Per the previous post, check ALL parts clearances, wheels to, tires to, brake line to, caliper bracket to, caliper to...etc., etc.

All is quiet now,in fact the morning after i made the post. I,m going to pull the wheels and take a look around.

 

Check your springs for clearance against the wheel wells for the full extent of the steering lock. Sometimes they can contact with the strengthening rib towards the top of the spring.... especially the LHD wheel well.

 

check the rotor's dust protection, done the same work on mine, had the same noise on the test, it was the rotor's dust protection ....
