So I ordered JCW exhaust. Is that installed at VDC or dealer?

 

I saw that! I believe that is dealer installed, but I'm not positive. I'm hoping to get mine before Memorial Day.

 

Dealer, unless the VDC has stepped up its game. I think they only do the simple things. Coding is at the dealer if you did the tuning kit.

I ordered it as well and It is on my build sheet. I assume the exhaust would be installed during production, but i am not sure though. I wanted the JCW Pro coil overs also, but they were not available..

 

My MA said that the tune is installed at VDC. Car is in Baltimore. I might have the car right before Memorial weekend.

 

Car has been delieved to dealer. It still needs to be inspected. Just a few pics my husband took tonight. Hope to complete deal tomorrow.

 

 

Looks awesome! Mine made it to my dealer yesterday, too. Won't be getting it until Friday, however. Getting tires swapped before I pick it up.

Car has not completed dealer inspection. Busy Wednesday and Thursday night so it will be Friday. Supposed to go camping Friday but we are delaying our trip one day.

 

Better take a day off to light that thing up. You've had 3 MCS's, you won't believe the difference in a JCW's acceleration.

Unless Mini has changed something, it's installed at the dealer. I built a 2016 MCS with all JCW exterior/interior options ... including exhaust and tune. When the car arrived at the dealership, it was there an extra day, an hour or so to install the JCW exhaust and four hours for the JCW tune. Well worth it!

 

 

I pick mine up tomorrow also. Trying to figure out how quickly I can put 1200 miles on it

 

Ditto for me. Pick up tomorrow afternoon. Have it booked in for tint next week. My 2015 F55 has 3M at 30%. Will probably do the same on the JCW. No fun twisty roads around me so will have to take a Sunday drive up to WI. I am doing a track day near by in a couple weeks. Just touring laps since this will be a first for me. And it is still in the break in period.

My tint is scheduled for June 12. Getting 35%, as I have on my R56S. Paint sealant on Saturday to cut down on brake dust. Have fun with it this weekend!

 

Sorry to divert the thread somewhat, but does anyone know if the dealers can tweak an order to include wheels other than what's offered on the configurator?

I'm not a huge fan of the 17" Track Spoke wheels offered with the JCW, but I like the 17" Roulette or Propellor styles offered as options for the S 2-door.

I certainly plan to delete the sunroof from my build, and would love to spec different wheels if possible on the dealer's system.

 

would those wheels fit over the brakes?

 

You would need spacers to fit those wheels over the JCW brakes. And no, its not possible to order a JCW with either of those wheels. At Baron, we would trade you for your track spokes and discount whatever wheels you'd like.

I will say, the stock JCW rims seem to be curb-grabbers... the arch of the spokes bows out enough that they put flares on the arches... which doesn't help at curb height, but anyway...
