Ignition Coil Upgrade 2010 JCW

Hi all, I have a failing ignition coil that has caused a misfire fault at 44k miles. I am thinking about replacing all with these upgrades from Mini Mania and want to see if anyone out there has experience with these or other thoughts on what coils may improve performance and be durable.

https://new.minimania.com/part/G2NME...-Projects-Gen2

Thank for help and thoughts.

We haven't found any HP in going with aftermarket ignition coils so we just use the factory original MINI ones as they have been the most reliable so that is what I would recommend.

I can say 100% stay away from the bosch and other OE equivialent coils as we have found them to actually put out less voltage and fail more often.

We do offer the IP coils but hard to justify the cost. Many people like that they are red. We haven't had any issues with them yet.

Thanks for the response! Is there anyone out there who has the IP upgrade coils installed who would comment on their experience? Are they reliable?

will ignition project coils cause engine light to come on. I just put them on my 2008 r56s and drove 5miles or so and now engine light is on. car idles and runs great, just wondering if this is normal.

Cannot possibly know if the coils are responsible without the code.
