JCW squeaky brakes only in reverse

Question squeaky brakes only in reverse

Anybody else with this issue?

2015 F56 JCW 53k on the clock.

Does a Gen3 have glides on the calipers? Normally I associate squeaking in reverse with the pad being too tight on the rotor.

more info, it only squeals when applying the brakes while in reverse.

Mine does that. But it isn't every time and isn't very loud. Backing out of the garage usually.

Mine did it as well on Countryman after pad/rotor replacement. Went away after a few thousand miles. I've read countless reasons for it with no definitive answer. Light layer of rust or moisture always seemed plausible but never proved.

it's been doing it since new. 53k so far. I was really just wondering if I was the only one, or if it was actually a problem.
