A I cut a piece of 2x4 to bridge the gap between the bolts there, since the metal brace is flimsy, but it was a solid and safe place to lift the whole rear at once. After that, jack stands went at each rear jack point. I used some beefy pressure treated stuff, and there wasn't even a hint of it being inadequate. YMMV though, so keep ears and eyes on it until you're confident that it's solid.

Definitely. I only had the back on jack stands. Took about 2 hours start to finish in a garage in the cold not rushing.

Got my NM 22mm RSB installed today, by a local "mini specialist." He suggested staying with the factory end-links, so I did for now. We set it to the soft position, and the car feels better, more solid or something. This is a base 2015.

 

Why stick with the factory links? The NM links are sturdy and quiet as a mouse.

Mechanic didn't want to mess with them. I got the NM adjustable pair, but are they preset to F56 specs? Maybe I can put them in sometime.

 

Mine were set to stock length, But it would be easy to adjust them if need be. Might not be "necessary", but I prefer steel end links over plastic.

 

I was surprised there are no rubber bushings with the NM links, but I hope to install them sometime soon.
