I agree with RDSJCW - that splitter looks great. If anyone has bought this, please let us know how the install went. I'm very interested in getting one of these too.
Isn't the AC Schnitzer front splitter $400 though?
Yes, but that's just a flat piece of FRP. I'm not saying that the price of the Duell AG splitter is justified, but it is considerably better designed to match the JCW front bumper. The unfortunate thing is that the F56 market for aftermarket aero is very small, so options are limited and prices will be high.
Yep. Definitely not for everyone. I'm planning to have one installed on my car, but It's gonna have either two or four turnbuckle stanchions for extra bracing, just because I like the way that looks. He's tested the splitter up to 140 MPH without stanchions. They're going to use my car for wind tunnel tests as soon as they finish fabricating the rear wing prototype. That's what's great about the MINI. You can build it the way you want to. And as y'all know, opinions are like...... well, you know. Everybody's got one, but the only one that counts when it comes to my car is mine.
Have to admit, I do like the Duell parts, but accessibility and price cancel them out for me. It was a big enough PITA just to get my ACS splitter, although that hurdle is gone since ECS carries it now.
where or how did you place an order of this splitter? I would like more details on placing an order and costs too. Thanks
It depends where you are located. I first emailed Duell AG asking where to order from, then they gave me the US vendor. Its different for each country. Vendor pricing will vary as with any aftermarket part, but you can expect to pay close to $1k or possibly more depending on shipping charges.
