JCW Why No Boost Guage / Indicator
I do not remember the last time driving a Turbo Charged Vehicle, and not have a Visual Boost Guage (be it analog or digital).
How so... JCW F56
Anybody else bothered by this?

Boost pressure, oil pressure and lap time on far right....
$ 250.00 When ordering a car.
$1,000.00 for all three pieces needed + labor if not installed at the port.

But I think MINI has a rebate going for JCW parts. Up to $400 dollars back
on a gift card with $2K dollars in purchases.
Rebate varies depending on purchase costs.
nope... won't work

BUT c'mon BMW/Mini, there was no way to squeeze an analog gauge... ANYWHERE?!?!?!
Or better yet, have some kind of digital readout "SOMEWHERE" in the drivers field of vision (HUD, Speedometer / Digital Readout).
With the F56 specific firmware it can also read oil pressure, something that was unavailable on previous generations.

I like the photos of the AEM kits above
Has a nice factory look !
However, I have always used a Scangauge, but an oem boost gauge would have been nice.
What I do wish for is a larger tachometer.
somebody missed the boat here... penny pinchers
As the Great Stone Cold Steve Austin would say, Give me a Hell Yeah!!! They should of swapped the sizes of the Speedometer with the size with the Tachometer and reversed locations.
Agree, the tach is too small....much more important than the speedometer! But I really do not care for that huge speedo in the previous gen MINIs personally. It was smart to change that, but they boo bood on the tach for sure! I use the light surround set to tach more than trying to look at the tach while driving!

Curious to know if the boost guages work accurately if you are using a piggy back tuning box?
I noticed that on my JB4 logging I can see ECU boost numbers and then actual boost from the JB4 map which includes target boost from the tuning box.

Depends on how handy are. ...pretty straight forward...I also installed a water temp gauge at the same time.
They are AEM gauges I added the red lines to make them match the JCW gauges.

I ordered the car with the chrono pack as I liked the appearance and having useful gauges that are easy to read without taking your eyes off the road for an extended time. The boost gauge works well with a piggy back ECU module. The lap timer is basically useless for me and I would have preferred a tachometer there instead. The one on the side of the speedometer is hard for me to use when performance driving and I sort of use the ear method when manual shifting as I have the automatic which I really have learned to appreciate and like quite well, the first one on a mini for me. I hope the next generation will offer a programmable windscreen projection heads up display. I have that in my corvette and love it.
