Just a heads up you're in the wrong subforum, you have a second generation this is for third. Just letting you know as you may get some better answers over there (2nd Gen page).

EDIT: It is unfortunately probable that you did the damage by driving your car around almost 2000 miles with the valve cover gasket leaking. Water and coolant don't compress easily, and if they enter the combustion chamber they are going to destroy your engine.

EDIT 2: DON'T EVER DRIVE A CAR THAT SAYS OIL PRESSURE LOW, immediately pull over and have it towed.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR RESPONDING. Thanks for the advice and I will try the 2nd generation forum. The dealer told me the water pump was urgent and the other could wait so I didn't think it could result in this much damage in such a short time. I went to the dealer and trusted I was going to the experts. The way you just put it made it very easy to understand and I would not have continued to drive my car.

No problem, I would ask people to see if you could find a certified independent mechanic who could do the replacement engine you will likely see a huge price drop from the dealers quote. Also, a used engine may be another way to decrease the price. It is an option that obviously has positives and negatives. Finally, feel free to pm me if you have other questions about how engines work or what warning lights mean.

ECS is way better to talk to then me, as I have had no experience with the engine in your car. But I digress,
