Wheel + Tire Upgrade ?

Hello all,
My JCW is on order !

Midnight Black
Dinamica
Manual Gearbox
Dynamic Damper Control
17" Silver Race Spoke with All Season run flats.

I'm already thinking about wheel and tire upgrade! I really like the look of the Cross Spoke 18" 506 wheel (36116855102). I would mount the top rated Michelin Pilot Super Sport. This would be my three season setup. For the winter, the 17" all seasons go back on.

I would like to hear from JCW owners who have experience driving on the 17" all season vs. the 18" non run flats. What can I expect in overall driving performance,
comfort and handling ? I am now driving a 2013 MCS with 16" run flats.

Thanks for your input.
Jim

In terms of wheels, search here. plenty of threads and not many choices to fit over the JCW brakes.

I had 17" Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3s on my R56 JCW and I liked them just fine so I had them installed on my C7 corvette (18" front and 19" rear) and it is way too tail happy with them. I ordered the F56 JCW with the 18" cup wheels and of course stock runflats. I am in the process of upgrading the F now and after I have the pro exhaust project completed new tires are in order. I plan to replace the stock ones with Michelin Pilot Super Sports. If I find them compatible I will probably put them on the C7 as well. I have tracked the R56 and the F56 and the high speed handling is markedly better with the F56 equipped with the 18" wheels. Of course they are 2 different cars, but the R felt squirrelly at anything above 110, the F was rock solid at 140+ speeds.
