R53 rotors are soo cheap I'm OK with that I would trade rotor life for longer pad life any day of the week

Not sure how long the pad life is on a race pad.

Interestingly, the pads for my Wilwoods cost about the same as the rotors...

My last time out I ran the Hawk blues on the rear with the Wilwood Poly H race pad up front and, at first, the Hawks sounded like I had installed a set of bastard cut metal files in the rear. But when they had a few laps on them, they settled down and worked quite well. The Hawks did generate more heat than the Carbotech XP8s did. So they appeared to have taken up a larger share of the braking than I had with the Carbotechs. No tail wag either...

I've been running DTC-60's, both front and rear, for at least 5 or 6 years now with excellent pad and rotor life. I usually get a full season out of both running at least 4-6 HPDE's/year.

I have a set of Bridgestone RE-71R's that I use for rain tires and a set of Nitto NT-01's for in the dry.
