I basically agree. Although Ryan told me before I installed them that the handling difference was so minimal that he would not be able to tell the difference on a blind test. With the 12 and 15's I'm running I would agree with him. Looks more aggressive and your car gets dirtier quicker!

We have some kits here now, with correct length bolts , full kits. And then the spacers on there own.

Right below our wheel spacer test fit kit.

Gen 3 F56 / F55 5-20mm

A little guidance - JCW Spacer sizes

I have a question for you all. I have a 2015 Cooper S that I just lowered using the new Craven Speed lowering springs. My car has the R506 18's with Pilot SS. I have too much tuck in the front and rear. I was thinking of doing a 5mm front and 10mm rear. Thoughts??

Thanks

+1 most are doing the smaller in the front and ~15 in the rear just on stock ride height.

Its bad enough Mini outfits even their so-called "hot rod" with little dinky skinny *** wheels & tires.

So i ordered 15 mm rear spacers & 6 mm front spacers from OutMotoring to kind of toughen up the whimpy Mini wheel look.

Looks much better now. Next spring 18x8 Team Dynamics wheels with 235-35-18 rubber get mounted.
Did you lower your MINI as well?

One of the best looking MINI's on this forum! (or any for that matter!)

If I mod my JCW you can bet I'll go similar to this....and definitely go with the 235/35/18 tires, as that diameter matches stock! Wide tires make the car look so much better imo...love the F56 but those 205 tires are indeed wimpy!

Cheers,

John

i just installed 15mm all around on my cooper s. i should be doing the drop this weekend with NM springs. the rear is perfect, the front is a little wide. I will see how it looks after the drop. If it is still too wide, i will get some smaller spacers for the front. I have 215's also...

+1 for ecs, super quick shipment of my stuff!

Forgive me if I sound like a noob because I really know nothing about aftermarket products and coming from an R56, I thought it didn't need to be pushed out. Now that I got my F56 JCW, the wheels aren't flushed enough to my liking. Is there a reason you went 6/15 instead of making it 15/15? The front wheels do seem to jut out more compared to the rear. I've even read this one guy put 20/20 and I'm not sure if that's an overkill. Does it just depend on what you want it to look like?

Also, whatever size I choose, would a wheel swap effect how much it juts out? I'm going to switch to a winter set once it it gets cold would those spacers effect it? I guess what I'm asking is what's the safest route to go.

The wheel spacers were selected for the oem wheels.

I use them for the winter only.

The rest of the year its 18x8's . No spacers needed.

I have 18 X 8 wheels. The rear seems to have more of a tuck than the front. I have a 4 door so not sure if there's a difference with 2 doors. I am considering 18x8.5 for rears if I ever get another set of wheels.

13mm spacer up front & 15mm rear perfect fit, on OEM cup wheels with NM springs

The reason I went with those sizes is because these are hub centric. You need at least 10mm to get the hub centric ring on a spacer

It seems like the rear could even come out a little more... 1-2mm... (look at the shadow first pic)

Akata spacer MB513

hub centric 66.6 bore extended bolts
