So I just purchased a WC50 about 2 months ago, absolutely in love with it so far. One thing I knew would need changing is the wheels. It's not that I don't love the wheels, they just need some work. One wheel has some slight curb rash and some of the others are losing their clear coat to them. So I decided to make these wheels my snow tire wheels. I went out and bought a new set of snow tires. I bought 205 50 R17 Blizzak WS80's heard they are the best snow tire around. I was a little nervous about going up 5% on the side wall but found out that clearance will be no issue on stock suspension.
So my situation is I want to run a performance summer tire specifically a Michelin Pilot Super Sport. I do want to increase the size to a 225 or atleast a 215. from what I have read is the stock 17x7 wheel can hold a 215 45 17. I am not sure about the 225 though. So I was thinking instead of every season keep swapping tires out (which is a pain) keep the stock wheels as snow wheels that I could just change in and out myself, and get a new set of wheels. So the big question is what would be the recommended size wheel I should go for? 4x100 bolt pattern is a must. is a 17x8 possible on stock suspension? I would like to stay away from 18's because tire prices jump through the roof. What is the stock offset and what can I go to for offset? Anyone have suggestions on what would look good? Maybe another OEM mini wheel? any if info that could help me would be greatly appreciated.
Hey Trevor (OP), there's a thread of WC50 owners over in the 2nd Gen Factory JCW forum, it's pretty cool. That green color resurfaced this year for the F56 fJCW with a different name (and $1000 price tag I might add). Here's the link: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ers-group.html
This is the wrong forum for your car. While we appreciate you stopping by you might get the answers your seek from the correct one. The BigNewt posted a link to it in his reply.
