Take a look at www.minidynamics.com. May give you a few ideas. I do like the tower struts under the bonnet. Tightens up the front end and makes it stiffer. Had one on my first JCW. Really made a difference in handling. I think Mini also lists it as an accessory. You're on the right track.. G.
The OP asked for a moonwalk grey and chili red JCW. This was a 2016 that my dealer had just rolled off the delivery truck. I test drove it to try to make up my mind on how I wanted my JCW configured.
I had thought about just putting a deposit down on this JCW right then and there, but thought maybe I would want one with some additional features.
I went home to mull it over and...
Someone walked in off the street and bought this car an hour later. (!)
I took some pics of it after I test drove it and here they are.
As promised, I took a few more pics of my 2015 JCW after a bit of washing, claying, waxing, polishing, etc.
The white driving light covers (white with giant black "X", see earlier photos), were driving me nuts, so I put a few coats of black Plastidip on them.
Hope everyone in the US had a good Labor Day. (And for everyone else, hope you had a good day as well.)
Absolutely beautiful. After looking at it more I don't think I have ever run across one in that color before. Great pictures too. I have to show them to a few JCW friends.
Good luck with it. I have to order a good cover for it since my wife bought a Audi Q7 and took over the garage. Found a company that makes custom Mini covers that fits perfectly. Later....
I think we are probably going to be in the same boat soon. We had: a travel trailer, a 1-ton diesel truck to tow it, an Infiniti M (think 5-series or E-class if you're not familiar) and a Volt. And a two car garage.
We did the math on the cost of the trailer and truck, insurance, gas, maintenance, storage, etc. and divided by the number of times per year we were using it. Let's just say we could travel to Europe a couple of times per year instead.
Our daughter needed a new car and has been bugging us about wanting to buy the Volt when we were ready to sell it.
So, after lots of paperwork, towing, driving and negotiating, we are down to the Infiniti (with 5 months left on the lease) and the new JCW.
I think we'll be looking at Audi, BMW and Merc offerings for SUVs in a few months, and possibly even the new Clubman or a Countryman.
OK, I'm done hijacking the thread. Hope the Q7 works out for you and enjoy your JCW!
A few pictures of my JCW I took this evening. A few days ago I had an Xpel Ultimate full front clear bra installed, and then last evening I did a full prep with Zaino AIO and then an Opti-Coat 2.0 application.

The more I look at your JCW the more I wish I had ordered that color and combo. In fact my last 3 JCW's were Chili red. Time for a change after I pay it off.
Is it weird that the first thing I noticed in theblackfalcon's JCW was the all-season tires?
Also, I'm not sure his car is black...it kinda looks more like a darker exposure of Thunder Grey.
The more I look at where the wheel arches meet the painted side sills, the more I think you are correct.
Good eye on the all-seasons. Mine came with the "Hankook Ventus S1 evo2" summer tires. They're OK. Not the stickiest tire I've come across, but they're OK. I'll probably replace them with Conti DWS for our mild winters and get some 18" setup for the rest of the year.

Well, thanks! I should post another pic now that the tint is done and I've blacked out the gas cap and door handles.
I got really lucky that my dealer found this one in Texas. I probably would *not* have ordered the sport suspension, but now I'm glad that I took the chance on it.
I took it on a twisties run last weekend and had the biggest grin on my face the entire time. I can't wait to start tweaking the suspension...
I ordered mine with the summer's, which are the Pirelli P7's. They're very good for a summer LRR's, which is a clear step down in grip from an extreme summer, which is where I'm headed come next spring. I do agree the all-seasons neuter the car. I test drove a JCW automatic with all-seasons and the tires were definitely the weakest link.
Wait until you put a proper summer tire on there and then hit the twisties again; your grin will be positively $#!t-eating.

I ordered mine with the All seasons because here in Germany we are about to have to go to allseason/winter tires in a few more weeks. Like you, next spring...IT IS ON!!! Michelin PSS going on! Then it will be time to tear it up.
