JCW allocation question

Hello

I was wondering if anyone knew how the JCW would be allocated do dealers? I have been to two dealers, they both have JCW's on the lot, but have stated that because it a limited edition car they won't be able to order anymore this year. The cars have more options than Im looking for, making them a bit more expensive than Im looking to spend. Has anyone found it to be the case that they cant order the car their looking for? Thanks for the help.

Josh

It's misleading. They might have sold customer orders in the queue and no extra allocations available for this model year, which is only another month or so.

The JCW is not "limited edition" in any way. You're free to order one and queue up behind the orders ahead of you.

*edit* The automatic trans JCW's have been selling poorer than anticipated, from what I can tell. They likely want to move their stock and unfortunately will say whatever it takes to do so. Find a new dealership that's more honest and upfront.

thats what I was thinking. I believe there will be less of them, but thats really based on demand not being a special edition. Sounds good I guess i need to inquire as to how long the list is. I suppose at this point it would be a 2016 model.

I'm sure that's correct. They'll be able to order 2016 cars soon if they can't already. Mini may be finishing making the 2015 batch, and have yet to make any manual tranny cars either.

My dealer told me yesterday I can order a 2015 JCW w/6Mt but production won't be until sometime in July or possible Aug.

Dealers get allocations for specific build weeks. Unless he has an allocation available for a manual JCW an order can't be placed.

Are you on a wait list?
