Is this an easy install for a beginner, or would I be better off going elsewhere to get it installed.

 

Not very hard, it takes a little time, requires some tinkering to make sure the fit is perfect... it happens when you are working in tight spaces.

Not a bad first upgrade, more air = better performance. Many will point out there are lots of CAI kits out there many for less then the JCW kit.

Best bang for the buck performance mod is to fit a supercharger reduction (15-17%) pulley, appropriate sized drive belt and colder plugs.
